We would also like to inform you that by mutual agreement, we are parting ways with our members Martin Bachvarov (guitar) and Deyan Videv (bass). Marto and Dido were an important part of the band's development, and their contribution will not only continue to be deeply valued, but will live forever in Maltworm's music. 🙏 

We part as friends and wish them all the best in their future projects and endeavors. 👏

On this day three years ago, as Bulgarian finalists of Wacken Metal Battle, Maltworm played one of the biggest metal festivals in the world - Wacken Open Air in Germany.

Mud, rain and Marshalls cranked to the max - raw, but a true metal experience that completely opened our eyes to what we do.

We would like to inform the entire metal society world that Maltworm is releasing a new single today, December 20, and that the respective track is available via all known music streaming platforms.

The narrative of To Serve In Silence is based on Clive Barker’s short story The Midnight Meat Train, an absolute favorite of horror literature connoisseurs from all across the world. Long story short, the big city is a living and breathing organism, while the underground railway hides some terrifying secrets - sticky, pulsing and often tinted in crimson. 

Recorded in the mystical Wormhole Studio in Stockholm, Sockerfabrik (or maybe just Sofia, Bulgaria, who knows), with Nikolay Velev once again taking care of the mixing and mastering process. Responsible for the artwork is Yuliya Kostadinova, who also left her mark on the band's previous single The Ballad Of Caleb.

In addition to the relevant online platforms, the track will also “live” on physical media through its participation in the compilation The Garden Of The Misanthrope II, released by Little Norway Productions on audio cassette in a limited edition of 66 copies.

This being said, it probably won't be surprising at all that it is a great honor for us to open the show of the Swedish Death Metal legends this Saturday at Park Center "Yunak".

Following the invite of the promoter Autumn Souls Of Sofia for everyone's dismay we are proudly announcing our addition to the bill of the anniversary gig of the German heavy/power metal veterans Rage at OldSkulls Club, Sofia, Bulgaria. Part of the event support is also the Greek band Emerald Sun.
